ALERT: Syrian Army May Use Kamikaze Pilots Against West, Assad Officer Claims

The Guardian reported: The Syrian air force is considering using kamikaze pilots against attacks by western forces, a Syrian army officer operating air defences near Damascus has claimed in an interview with the Guardian.

The officer said 13 pilots had signed a pledge this week saying they would form “a crew of suicide martyrs to foil the US warplanes”.

The Assad loyalist, in his 30s and serving with the Syrian army’s air defence section 10 miles from the capital, said: “If the US and British armies launch a single rocket we will launch three or four, and if their warplanes raid our skies they will face hell fire.

“If we are unable to shoot down their warplanes with artillery, we have military pilots who are ready to attack these foreign warplanes by their own warplanes and blow them up in the air.”

The Guardian has been unable to verify the information. The officer has been in contact with the paper on several occasions over the last 12 months during which time he provided reliable information about battles between the troops of Bashar al-Assad and rebel groups. He has declined to provide accounts of events where he has not served.

He claimed: “We have more than 8,000 suicide martyrs within the Syrian army, ready to carry out martyrdom operations at any moment to stop the Americans and the British. I myself am ready to blow myself up against US aircraft carriers to stop them attacking Syria and its people.”

Speaking about the chemical attack last week on the outskirts of Damascus, he denied the involvement of government forces and said news of the gassing had come as a shock.

“Why would we use chemical weapons in Al Ghouta, when we have government forces where the attack happened? Over the last few days we have launched a military operation called Capital Shield to protect Damascus and its countryside. We managed to get 75% of the way through the process, but then we were shocked to learn about the chemical weapons in Al Ghouta.”

He said the morale of the Syrian army was high. “They have to know that Iran and Hezbollah fighters will be fighting with us, hand-in-hand. We have an alliance of protection. We are the resistance axe in the Arab world.

“We are ready for anything. Only God can take our souls, not America or Britain. The US and UK have been threatening us for more than two years now, they think we would care, but they are stupid to think so. We have been fighting the most criminal terrorists in the world and we have not given up or become tired.

“The Syrian army is at the highest state of alert now. We have taken all measures to avoid the air onslaught and all our rockets are ready now to be launched. We are expecting the US and British forces to attack specific targets, so the Syrian army has changed most of its positions and many barracks and brigades have been moved to different sites.”

Reuters news agency said Assad’s forces appeared to have evacuated most personnel from army and security command headquarters in central Damascus in preparation for a western military strike.

“It is unbelievable what is happening now in Syria,” the officer said. “Lots of Syrian men are flocking to checkpoints asking to join the army to fight for Syria, though some of them were previously with the opposition.”

He added: “They say that when Syria is under foreign attack we will fight with the Syrian army and forget about everything. In Damascus, we have registered over 4,000 civilian volunteers in the last 48 hours. We have sent them to training camps to learn how to use different weapons and to form people committees [pro-regime home guards] to protect the streets and districts of the capital, as the Syrian army will be busy dealing with the US warplanes.

“The whole army will be in a state of alert and we will need these people to protect our back, keep security and stop things slipping to chaos.

“Damascus residents are living a normal life and are not scared of any attack. Rockets and mortars are falling on the capital districts every day even in the poshest areas, so they can’t be shaken any more if US rockets strike.

“People get used to the war and they do not need to make any more preparations. Today I could see long bread queues in many areas in Damascus, and that may be because of the US threats. People are worried if the US and British forces launch their attack against Syria they can’t go out during the air raids.”

It’s been reported that Saturday is the scheduled D-Day – the United States led attack on Syria will commence.  The attack will last until Obama meets Putin on Wednesday.  It’s becoming very clear to the well-informed patriots, that the United States is up to no good; well, the leaders of the U.S. are up to no good anyway.

Infowars reported: A reporter with Israel’s most widely read newspaper has been told by defense establishment officials that a US-led attack on Syria will begin on Saturday and end when Barack Obama meets Vladimir Putin on Wednesday.

Despite an apparent softening in rhetoric as British Prime Minister David Cameron faces a parliamentary revolt over military intervention, in addition to reports that the intelligence against Assad’s regime is by no means a “slam dunk,” Israel Hayom reporter Amir Mizroch tweets that the attack will begin on Saturday immediately after UN inspectors have left the country.

Inspectors had initially planned to leave on Sunday after concluding their investigation but their departure a day early has increased speculation that air strikes are imminent.

British and American military might is now fully in place and prepared for strikes which experts say will take the form of Tomahawk land-attack cruise missiles fired from warships or submarines.

Mizroch also highlights remarks made by former Mossad director Danny Yatom, who says that the apparent delay on green lighting military strikes is only so Bashar Al-Assad can’t use the UN inspectors as human shields.

Mizroch was also told that Israel sent Assad a message via Russia threatening that if Syria attempts to attack Israel, Damascus will be targeted and Assad’s regime will be toppled.

This threat was made despite attempts by Gulf nations to secure a promise from Israel that it would act with restraint if Syria attempts retaliatory strikes against Israel in response to a western onslaught. Israel replied that it would act with restraint, but only if aggression against it “did not exceed reasonable bounds.”

In a related story, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Daniel Shapiro has promised a “strong and serious response,” to Assad’s alleged chemical atrocity last week, despite American officials admitting to the New York Times that there is no “smoking gun” that directly links President Assad to the attack.

US intelligence officials also told the Associated Press that the intelligence proving Assad’s culpability is “no slam dunk,” a far cry form the Obama administration’s rhetoric, which held that Assad’s responsibility was “undeniable.”

Police announced the arrest of 16-year-old Mychal King on Thursday.  He is accused in the January murder of Jason Taylor Paul, the city’s first homicide of 2013.

Police said King admitted to killing Paul for no reason other than he had a hard day with his family that night of January 6, and “just wanted to kill the first person he saw.”

Police say 22-year-old Jason Taylor Paul was stabbed multiple times while riding his bike home from work late.

Jason’s parents, John and Renee Langfritz had been distraught since the news of Paul’s death, and desperate for closure, even offering a $10,000 reward for information.

Renee described her son as an intelligent, loving, funny man. She said his sudden loss has left a hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

“This coward, truly a coward, who would leave a young innocent man to die alone in the dark in the middle of the street, must be caught,” she said at the time.

King will be charged with 1st Degree Murder.  Detectives say he has a long criminal history and was already in jail on other charges.

‘Evolution Vs. God’ Filmmaker Responds to Atheists’ Calls for Unedited Footage and Delivers a Stinging Message to Richard Dawkins

TheBlaze reported: Evangelist Ray Comfort’s 38-minute “Evolution vs. God” documentary continues to spark debate and angst among the atheist activist community. It’s no surprise that non-believers dismiss the documentary’s contents and deride Comfort’s claim that scientists cannot offer definitive evidence for Darwinian evolution.

TheBlaze spoke with Comfort on Tuesday, who said that this particular project, which premiered on July 9, has been “polarizing,” as he has received many praise-worthy comments as well as a multitude of angry rebuttals. He said there’s been a “love-hate attitude” surrounding the short film.

“Normally with a video you get 20, 30, 40 comments, maybe 100,” he said. “This is at 46,000 comments on YouTube at just over three weeks.”

As for those who are angry over the film, Comfort was candid. Non-believers, he claims, are simply frustrated that their worldview is being eroded by what’s exposed in “Evolution vs. God.”

“Atheists are very, very angry because this isn’t just a wet blanket on their sinful lifestyle, it’s a Niagara Falls,” the evangelist charged. “There’s a God and there’s moral responsibility and moral absolutes.”

Many of these non-theists — including those at American Atheists, a controversial church-state separatist group — have called for the unedited footage from the movie’s production to be publicly released so that they can assess what, if anything, was omitted.

Comfort told TheBlaze that his team his thinking about doing so, but that he has no moral obligation to release the raw footage. In defending a potential decision not to distribute it, he made the point that media outlets are not generally asked to do the same and that there’s really nothing in the remaining footage that would corroborate critics’ claims.

The filmmaker and Christian leader also took the time to defend his editors, whom he called “men of God and men of integrity” — individuals who he said would “never make somebody say something they didn’t say.” As far as critics go, he believes that the gripes they’ve touted are unfolded.

“They are thinking that the scientists have evidence for evolution and we didn’t want that released, so we cut it out and dropped it on the editor’s floor. That’s just not true — it didn’t happen,” Comfort added.

The evangelist believes that Richard Dawkins, the famed evolutionary biologist who is widely seen as the leader of the atheist activist movement, is worried over the film and what it exposes about evolutionary theory. Dawkins, too, has apparently called for the full, unedited footage to be released.

“I believe he’s in a panic, because it shows him as being a charlatan — a deceiver who has convinced multitudes [to believe] bogus science founded on nothing but blind faith,” Comfort added.

The Christian leader said that he has love for Dawkins and other non-believers (he has even sent the scientist a number of fruit baskets) and that the animosity goes only one way. Niceties aside, Comfort has a strong message for him on the subject of Darwinian evolution.

“I would say come out of hiding. Be open with your flock. They are in disarray. Atheists are furious, they’re angry,” he said. “All they need to do to silence me is give evidence of Darwinian evolution. Step up to the plate, be a man, give evidence for Darwinian evolution publicly…but you won’t because you can’t, because there isn’t any.”

Earlier this summer, Comfort told TheBlaze that he has repeatedly challenged Dawkins to a debate in the past, but to no avail. The atheist activist has allegedly refused unless Comfort donates $100,000 to his foundation for non-belief. Obviously, this donation isn’t going to happen, so the two, at least for the time being, won’t be chatting about matters of worldly origin.

“Evolution vs. God” has more than 480,000 views on YouTube. Comfort, the founder of evangelical outreach groups Way of the Master and Living Waters, hopes that everyone will watch the film, including atheists who hold evolutionary theory as gospel.

Carter: MLK Would Be Disappointed in Black Unemployment Under Obama

Breitbart reported: Former President Jimmy Carter spoke on Wednesday on the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech and suggested King would be greatly disappointed in the black unemployment rate under President Barack Obama.

“I think we know how Martin Luther King would have reacted to unemployment among black people being twice that of white people,” Carter said. He suggested King would also be disappointed with U.S. drone strikes, the lack of D.C. voting rights, voter ID laws, and the black incarceration rate.

As Breitbart News reported, a recent Pew report found that “though black unemployment, at the end of the Bush administration, had broken a long-held pattern of being twice that of white unemployment, it has returned to its former trend under President Barack Obama.” The black unemployment rate is currently at 13.4% while the white unemployment rate is at 6.7%.
