Oprah: Compares Trayvon Martin to a Lynching of Emmett Till, ‘In My Mind, Same Thing’

Oprah WinfreyNever been a fan of Oprah, but her latest remark puts puts me at odds of being able to stomach hearing another word uttered from her again.  Okay, so I’m there already.

But Comparing the Zimmerman case of self-defense to a lynching that occurred 58 years ago is not only irresponsible, it will no doubt infuriate some, including myself.

The Blaze reports: Oprah Winfrey says there is a clear “parallel” between the murders of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin and 14-year-old Emmett Till in 1955.

“In my mind, same thing,” she said.

Oprah went on to say that people “can get stuck in that and not allow yourself to move forward and to see how far we’ve come.”

Martin was shot and killed in Sanford, Fla., following a violent altercation with George Zimmerman in February 2012. Zimmerman, who claims he shot Martin in self-defense, stood trial and was found not guilty on murder and manslaughter charges by a jury. At least two members of the jury have publicly stated there was simply not enough evidence to convict Zimmerman.

In contrast, Till was savagely murdered by a group of white men in 1955 after he was spotted apparently flirting with a white woman.

The men took Till to a barn, beat him viciously and gouged out one of his eyes before shooting him in the head and dumping his body in the Tallahatchie River in Mississippi.

According to Oprah, that is the “same thing.” She is not; however, the first person to make the comparison.

Louis Farrakhan: The Devil Himself, Reacts to Trayvon Martin’s Verdict, ‘We Have to Rebel Against These Tyrants’

From Breitbart: In this week’s installment of Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam YouTube video series, “The Time and What Must Be Done,” the controversial minister uses the shooting of Trayvon Martin to argue that America was “not made” for minorities, imploring his audience to “rebel against these tyrants”–presumably the institutional forces of “white supremacy.”

“You are gonna have to come to the realization that the death or murder of Trayvon was a nail in the coffin of white supremacy. Our people are rising, but you don’t know where to go; you don’t know what to do. But this has gone on in every generation. It’s telling us that we’re living in a society where we will never get the justice that God wants for us. We will never find the equity that God wants for us, nor the freedom. We have to separate. We have to find a path, and America, you have to let the black man go.”

John McCain: Sucks Up to Obama Calling His Comments Friday on Trayvon Martin and Race ‘Very Impressive’

McCain and ObamaSenator John McCain continues to stink up the place with his latest kiss-ass charade, calling Obama’s comments Friday, ‘very impressive.’

It’s obvious the Obama administration has purchased McCain’s soul, lock, stock, and barrel.

Breitbart reported: On Sunday, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) appeared on CNN’s State of the Union, where he called President Obama’s Friday comments on Trayvon Martin and race “very impressive.” He said, “I think we should continue to make progress,” but added that “we still have a long way to go,” even as he declined to “second guess” the verdict in the George Zimmerman case.

McCain stated that “we were probably too optimistic” about race relations in the aftermath of the election of the country’s first black president. “I think old prejudices die hard,” McCain said. ‘We have made significant progress, but I think recent events highlight the differences that remain.” McCain also said he believed that “Stand Your Ground” laws should be reconsidered in light of the Martin case, despite the fact that “Stand Your Ground” was never invoked by Zimmerman and he was acquitted on grounds of self-defense.

Dr. Ben Carson vs Donna Edwards: Barack Obama’s Remarks and Black Crime in America

July 21, 2013 – Is Zimmerman verdict a diversion to the real issue facing the African American Community today? Asks Fox News Sunday Host, Chris Wallace as he is joined by Dr. Benjamin Carson, and Congresswoman Donna Edwards (D-MD), member of the Congressional Black Caucus, to share their opinions on the President’s recent comments about racism in this country.

Sharpton and MoveOn: Join Forces to Exploit Trayvon Martin and Ignite Yet More Racial Divisiveness

Al SharptonAl Sharpton continues his racial divide under the guise of goodwill, by joining forces with MoveOn.org to further exploit the African American population.  ‘Read On.’

Breitbart reports: For the second time since the jury cast its verdict in the George Zimmerman case, MoveOn.org has sent out a fundraising letter riding on the coattails of the tragic death of Trayvon Martin.

Within a few hours of the verdict announcement last Saturday night, liberal activist group MoveOn joined NAACP President Ben Jealous in a mailer about the George Zimmerman verdict.

The newest email went out Thursday night and supported the upcoming rallies being led by MSNBC host Al Sharpton.

The mailer reads:

What: Since Saturday’s acquittal of George Zimmerman, who was found not guilty on all charges in the slaying of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, more than 550,000 MoveOn members have called on the Department of Justice to bring civil rights charges against Zimmerman. Now, MoveOn members are joining Rev. Al Sharpton, activists, faith leaders from the National Action Network, and other progressive allies in 100 cities across the country, to hold prayer vigils and rallies urging the Department of Justice to press charges. Can you join us on Saturday?

At the bottom of the mailer, MoveOn asks readers to donate money to them. The MoveOn Sharpton promo email says:

Want to support our work? MoveOn Civic Action is entirely funded by our 8 million members — no corporate contributions, no big checks from CEOs. And our tiny staff ensures that small contributions go a long way. Chip in here.

Sharpton is a divisive figure, but the rallies and fundraising appear to have the approval of Martin’s parents. Both parents appeared for the full hour of Sharpton’s Thursday episode of his MSNBC showPolitics Nation. Additionally, both parents will be attending his rallies; Trayvon’s mother is scheduled to appear with Sharpton in New York and Trayvon’s father will be at the Miami event.

Jesse Jackson: Calls Upon the United Nations to Investigate Trayvon Martin’s Death, Say What?

Jesse JacksonOkay, these racist muttonheads are even surprising me now… Jesse Jackson is calling for the United Nations to investigate Trayvon Martin’s death now!  Just when you thought it was safe to come outside.

InfoWars reports: Jesse Jackson, the founder of Rainbow/PUSH, has called for the United Nations to investigate the death of Trayvon Martin.

According to Jackson, the acquittal of George Zimmerman contradicts international human rights laws and treaties.

Jackson’s call follows demands that the Obama Justice Department prosecute Zimmerman for allegedly violating Martin’s civil rights.

In addition, Representative Luis Gutierrez, an Illinois Democrat, has called for the House Judiciary Committee to hold hearings on the Martin-Zimmerman case.

We need a national investigation of the racial context that led to Trayvon Martin’s slaying,” Jackson wrote in an article published by the Chicago Sun-Times and posted on the Rainbow/PUSH website. “Congress must act. And it’s time to call on the United Nations Human Rights Commission for an in-depth investigation of whether the U.S. is upholding its obligations under international human rights laws and treaties. Trayvon Martin’s death demands much more than a jury’s verdict on George Zimmerman. It calls for us to hear the evidence and render a verdict on the racial reality that never had its day in court at the trial.”

Obama Attacks Bill of Rights: It’s Official, Obama Attacks Second Amendment Via Zimmerman Case

Obama Zimmerman CaseWe knew it was coming, but some of us were hoping for the best.  Barrack Hussein Obama and his low-life constituents have snubbed his nose at the Constitution once again, clearly marking his line in the sand, by calling for a renewed legislation of the Second Amendment.

Obama is taking advantage of the Zimmerman case for this ‘failed’ attempt earlier this year and to once again, prop up his miserable gun control policy.

InfoWars reports: Obama responded to the Zimmerman verdict on Sunday by calling for renewed legislation aimed at the Second Amendment.

He did not attack the Bill of Rights directly, but instead admonished Americans for not doing enough “to stem the tide of gun violence that claims too many lives across this country on a daily basis.”

Here is the entire statement by Obama. It was posted today on the White House website:

The death of Trayvon Martin was a tragedy.  Not just for his family, or for any one community, but for America.  I know this case has elicited strong passions.  And in the wake of the verdict, I know those passions may be running even higher.  But we are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken.  I now ask every American to respect the call for calm reflection from two parents who lost their young son.  And as we do, we should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to widen the circle of compassion and understanding in our own communities.  We should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to stem the tide of gun violence that claims too many lives across this country on a daily basis.  We should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, how we can prevent future tragedies like this.  As citizens, that’s a job for all of us.  That’s the way to honor Trayvon Martin.

It appears Obama, in addition to instructing the Justice Department to prosecute George Zimmerman for violating the “civil rights” of Trayvon Martin, will attempt to revisit so-called “gun control,” an effort that failed dismally earlier this year in a Democrat-controlled Senate.
