While Russia invades Ukraine, our gay military dances in drag in Okinawa (video)

(Allen West) – Russian troops are invading Ukraine and we have no response. I suppose the Pentagon has more important things to worry about – like hair and makeup for our gay military.

According to Stars and Stripes, openly homosexual service members at Okinawa’s Kadena Air Base took to the stage and performed as “drag queens” and “drag kings” Saturday on a military installation in support of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender troops.

As World Net Daily put it, “Almost seven decades after being the scene of one of the most ferocious and protracted battles of World War II – a site of legendary valor and sacrifice on the part of American soldiers – some U.S. service personnel stationed in Okinawa today are treating the world to another kind of display: Gay and lesbian service personnel performing in drag, to raise funds for their activities, to a sellout audience.

Many thanks to Stars and Stripes for sharing this jaw-dropping video.

In September 2011, on the implementation of the repeal of the Clinton-era Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy, President Obama said: “I was proud to sign the Repeal Act into law last December because I knew that it would enhance our national security, increase our military readiness, and bring us closer to the principles of equality and fairness that define us as Americans.” However, the latest reports show that the rate of sexual assaults, and especially male-on-male sexual assaults, in the U.S. military has skyrocketed.

It’s obvious what defines “vital national security interest” in the Obama administration. A week ago Obama announced the decimation of our military – maybe that’s why these troops got their groove on.

I am kinda at a loss for words, but quite sure there are those of you who can fill in the blanks.

Putin To Gay Olympics: Welcome to Russia – ‘Just Leave Kids Alone’

(Free Patriot) — A preoccupation with political correctness hasn’t yet taken root in Russia. That is reflected in many of Vladimir Putin’s comments, the most recent coming on Friday.

President Putin said in an address that gay visitors to the 2014 Winter Olympics

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday that homosexuals travelling to his country for the 2014 Winter Olympics next month should feel comfortable. He cautioned them to “just leave kids alone.”

His remarks were aired during a meeting with volunteers at the Olympic mountain venue at Krasnaya Polyana. It seemed to be an effort to assuage concerns from participating nations around the globe in regard to Russia’s tough position regarding homosexuality.

Putin said, “We have no ban on the nontraditional forms of sexual intercourse among people. We have the ban on the propaganda of homosexuality and pedophilia. I want to stress this: propaganda among minors. These are two absolutely different things: a ban on certain relations or the propaganda of such relations.”

His statement was carried on Russian television.

Putin assured his audience that there would be no discrimination against gays at the Olympics. He said, “One can feel calm and at ease. Just leave kids alone, please.”

Putin commented as to the promotion of pedophilia which is being considered in some countries. He said, “There is nothing secret about it, look it up on the Internet and you’ll find it straightaway. Parties have raised the issue with certain parliaments. So what, are we supposed to shuffle behind them like puppies toward unknown consequences? We have our own traditions, our own culture; we treat all our partners with respect and ask for our traditions and our culture to be treated with respect as well.”

Putin to Gay Olympics: Leave Kids Alone

The legal system may be paying particular attention to the issue of gays in Russia, as is the Russian Orthodox Church. That church, closely allied with Putin, was the recipient of the protest by the members of the group, Pussy Riot, which resulted in their imprisonment for hooliganism.

A senior church cleric called this month for a national debate over the reinstatement of a Soviet-era law which criminalized gay sex. That law was repealed in 1993.

Some nations had voiced concerns over what they feared would be potential discrimination at the Games following the passage of a law against disseminating homosexual propaganda to minors was passed this past Summer by the Russian Duma, their parliament.

Russian authorities have acted to reassure their Olympic guests as well as placing restrictions upon protests during the Sochi Games.

Gays Lose: A&E Ends Phil Robertson’s Suspension, Returns to Duck Dynasty in 2014

A&E has ducked away from a controversy surrounding the stars of its hugely popular reality series Duck Dynasty.

A&E Buckles Phil Robertson Returns

The network issued a statement late Friday backing off from its previously announced suspension of Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the clan behind the successful Louisiana-based Duck Commander duck-calling business. The suspension was triggered by Robertson’s interview with GQ, published last week, in which he made anti-gay statements, which he said reflected his religious beliefs.

The interview sparked protests from human-rights groups, and led to A&E’s quick decision to suspend Robertson from future episodes. But that action also triggered a backlash from someDynasty fans, who tried to organize a boycott of the network — and Robertson’s own family, which suggested it would not be willing to keep filming the series without him.

In a statement, the network cited its “core values” of “inclusion and mutual respect” to explain why “we reacted so quickly and strongly.” “While Phil’s comments made in the interview reflect his personal views based on his own beliefs, and his own personal journey, he and his family have publicly stated they regret the ‘coarse language’ he used and the misinterpretation of his core beliefs based only on the article. He also made it clear he would ‘never incite or encourage hate.’ We at A+E Networks expressed our disappointment with his statements in the article, and reiterate that they are not views we hold.”

The statement then offered some wiggle room: “But Duck Dynasty is not a show about one man’s views. It resonates with a large audience because it is a show about family… a family that America has come to love. As you might have seen in many episodes, they come together to reflect and pray for unity, tolerance and forgiveness,” the statement said. “After discussions with the Robertson family, as well as consulting with numerous advocacy groups, A&E has decided to resume filming Duck Dynasty later this spring with the entire Robertson family.”

An already completed 10-episode season will begin airing Jan. 15, with all of the Robertsons featured. The new episodes, scheduled to be shot this spring, will air later next year. Duck is the No. 2 series on cable TV, behind The Walking Dead, and ranks among the top 30 of all TV shows with an average of 13.4 million viewers.
