Shocking: Twenty-nine Incredible Facts Which Prove That Poverty In America Is Exploding, and America is Imploding

Yesterday, we published an article of 25 Statistics That Prove America’s Middle Class is Being Systematically Wiped Out and now we present 29 incredible facts that prove poverty in this country is exploding, and because of that, America is imploding.

[H/T IntelliHub]: Did you know that the number of Americans on welfare is higher than the number of Americans that have full-time jobs?  Did you know that 1.2 million public school students in the U.S. are currently homeless?

29 Facts Poeverty is ExplodingAnyone that uses the term “economic recovery” to describe what is happening in the United States today is being deeply insulting to the nearly 150 million Americans that are considered to be either “poor” or “low income” at this point.

Yes, things are great in New York City, Washington D.C. and San Francisco, but almost everywhere else economic conditions continue to steadily get worse.  The gap between the wealthy and the poor is at a level that America has never seen before, and this is beginning to create a “Robin Hood mentality” that could cause a tremendous amount of social chaos in the years ahead.  Anger at the “haves” in America continues to rise at a very alarming pace, and the “have nots” are becoming increasingly desperate.

At some point all of this anger is going to boil over, and you won’t want to be anywhere around major population centers when that happens.  Despite unprecedented borrowing by the federal government in recent years, and despite unprecedented money printing by the Federal Reserve, poverty in the United States keeps getting worse with each passing year. The following are 29 incredible facts which prove that poverty in America is absolutely exploding…

1. What can you say about a nation that has more people getting handouts from the federal government than working full-time?  According to the latest numbers from the U.S. Census Bureau, the number of people receiving means-tested welfare benefits is greatert than the number of full-time workers in the United States.

2. New numbers have just been released, and they show that the number of public school students in this country that are homeless is at an all-time record high.  It is hard to believe, but right now 1.2 million students that attend public schools in America are homeless.  That number has risen by 72 percent since the start of the last recession.

3. When I was growing up, it seemed like almost everyone was from a middle class home.  But now that has all changed.  One recent study discovered that nearly half of all public students in the United States come from low income homes.

4. How can anyone deny that we are a socialist nation when half the people are getting money from the federal government each month?  According to the most recent numbers from the U.S. Census Bureau,49.2 percent of all Americans are receiving benefits from at least one government program.

5. Signs of increasing poverty are even showing up in the wealthiest areas of the nation.  According to the New York Post, New York subways are being “overrun with homeless“.

6. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, approximately one out of every six Americans is now living in poverty.  The number of Americans living in poverty is now at a level not seen since the 1960s.

7. The gap between the rich and the poor in the United States is at anall-time record high.  The wealthy may not consider this to be much of a problem, but those at the other end of the spectrum are very awareof this.

8. The “working poor” is one of the fastest growing segments of the U.S. population.  At this point, approximately one out of every four part-time workers in America is living below the poverty line.

9. According to numbers provided by Wal-Mart, more than half of their hourly workers make less than $25,000 a year.

10. A recent Businessweek article mentioned a study that discovered that 300 employees at one Wal-Mart in Wisconsin receive a combined total of nearly a million dollars a year in public assistance…

“A decent wage is their demand—a livable wage, of all things,” said Representative George Miller (D-Calif.). The problem with companies like Wal-Mart is their “unwillingness, not their inability, to pay that wage,” he said. “They hand off the difference to taxpayers.” Miller was referring to a congressional report (PDF) released in May that calculated how much Walmart workers rely on public assistance. The study found that the 300 employees at one Supercenter in Wisconsin required some $900,000 worth of public assistance a year.

11. The stock market may be doing great (for the moment), but incomes for average Americans continue to decline.  In fact, median household income in the United States has fallen for five years in a row.

Rand Paul: Will Place a ‘Senatorial Hold’ Unless Dirty Harry Allows ‘Audit the Fed’ Bill to Senate Floor

[H/T Breitbart]: Senator Rand Paul woke up the Washington political scene on October 25th by leaking that he intends to place a “Senatorial hold” on the upcoming Presidential nomination of Janet Yellen to be the next Chairperson of the U.S. Federal Reserve, unless Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid allows his “Audit the Fed” bill to go to a Senate floor vote.

Rand PaulSince its 1913 founding, the U.S. Federal Reserve has been allowed to operate in such relative secrecy that it has been described as “like a hall of mirrors and the Fed is that big one at the end that makes everything else look like its upside-down.” Rand Paul’s goal is to unite conservative Tea Partiers, liberal progressives, and millennials in a grand coalition to restrain the crony capitalism between Washington, D.C. lobbyists and Wall Street money interests.

The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform Act’s one-time mandated audit of emergency lending activities during the 2008 Financial Crisis is the only published glimpse into the secretive financial dealings of the Fed. The audit divulged that the Fed had directly loaned over $16 trillion to selected banks and corporations. Few doubt the importance of the Fed providing temporary liquidity to stabilize markets after the huge investment firm of Lehman Brothers filed bankruptcy on September 15, 2008. But for the last five years, the Fed has continued to use its money printing capability to dramatically subsidize big bank profitability with artificially low interest rates, causing small banks to shrivel and seniors who rely on the income from savings deposits to suffer badly.

Current Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has vigorously opposed annual audits of the Fed by claiming that any transparency might hamper the Fed’s ability to quickly and creatively spur an economy that is teetering on recession. But many left, right, and libertarian economists believe the Fed’s discretionary actions only serve the interests of the powerful and are often counter-productive to small businesses and American workers.

Five years after the banks were bailed out by the American taxpayers, the U.S. banking system is generating record profits thanks to $3.6 trillion of the Fed’s generosity. But despite the Fed printing money, over the last two years employment has been treading water by growing at the same 1.7% rate as the annual population growth. Failing to grow jobs faster than new entrants join the labor force also caused the duration period of unemployment to rise from 10-20 weeks from 1980 to 2009 to 35-40 weeks recently.

The Fed also allowed a substantial increase in risk taking by financing banks’ dominate position in leveraged derivative speculation. Powered by the Fed’s cheap money, trading and investment banking activities generated more than forty per cent of JPMorgan’s annual profit of $24.4 billion reported in July. Without a Fed audit, no outsider can be exactly sure how much risk American banks are taking with derivatives. But with the world’s annual economy of only $72 trillion and the outstanding derivatives having grown rapidly to $700 trillion, the leverage must be enormous.

Since the Federal Reserve System is officially owned by its member banks and its Board and Chairman are appointed by the Senate, the Fed supposedly acts as an “independent entity within government.” However, the Federal Reserve’s activities have almost never been subject to any oversight by Congress. Consequently, the Federal Reserve seems to be “independent of government.”

Perhaps the real reason Congress has taken a hands-off approach is the Fed is highly profitable, and, under Federal Reserve Act Section 7(b), a big cut of that profit is paid each year as a dividend to the federal government. Although under law the Fed’s dividend is supposed to “supplement the gold reserve held against outstanding United States notes” and pay down the “outstanding bonded indebtedness of the United States,” Congress has been spending the Fed’s $80 billion dividend for many years.

Rand Paul, under the Standing Rules of the United States Senate, has the right to prevent a motion for the nomination of Janet Yellen from reaching a vote on the Senate floor. Majority Leader Harry Reid has used the same Senate rules to prevent a vote on Paul’s “Audit the Fed” bill, introduced with 25 bipartisan sponsors in February 2013.

Over 70% of the American public has favored auditing the Fed for years, but it was Rand Paul’s father, former Congressman Ron Paul, that became a rock star on college campuses championing a millennial revolt to force the audit and eventual abolishment of the Federal Reserve for debasing the dollar and crony capitalism.

By forcing Harry Reid and his Senate allies who secretly oppose “Audit the Fed” to go on record with a very unpopular roll call vote, Senator Paul is demonstrating his principled leadership and the building of a powerful new coalition of American voters.

Benghazi: Attacks Getting Closer to Egypt, Mohammed Mursi, and the Muslim Brotherhood

Egypt’s Mohammed Mursi is scheduled to go on trial in just one week but you’d never know it by watching either mainstream or conservative media. Arabic sources are reporting that Mursi actually colluded with Ayman al-Zawahiri, al-Qaeda’s number one. How solid are these charges?

[Start listening at 35:50 mark on, to hear the details of Mohammed Mursi’s involvement of al Qaeda and Benghazi]:

Earlier this week, Barrack appeared on the Andrea Tantaros show with guest host Sam Sorbo to talk about the strength of charges that the Mursi regime was involved in the Benghazi attacks. Find out what happened at the very end of that interview. It was a moment you don’t often hear on talk radio. Let’s just say that Sorbo was more than just a little affected by the subject matter.

The evidence of Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood involvement in the 9/11/12 Benghazi attacks continues to build. Is there anyone in Congress who is going to start drawing attention to this?

Not only was Thornton a true American hero, but he was a star in his local community.

He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the Pacific Theater for two years as a Fireman First Class aboard the minesweeper, the USS Herald.Thornton was well known in the Delta region for his Maria’s Famous Hot Tamales, which he began cooking in 1984, and named for his wife, Mary. He won many awards for his hot tamales through the years and loved sharing them with others. He was featured in numerous publications and videos about hot tamales and was interviewed in 2005 for the Mississippi Hot Tamale Trail. In 2012, he was crowned king of the inaugural Delta Hot Tamale Festival.

He was an electrician and owned a liquor store to support his family. His nickname came from a high school incident when he picked out notes from the song “You Are My Sunshine” during a break in a performance. His obituary also said he remained upbeat and happy in old age and would play the fiddle for guests or talk to customers.

Thornton was very active at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He was a communicant and a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.

Hillary Clinton to Receive American Patriot Award

No, you read that headline right.  Hillary Clinton, the person responsible for the State Department, the same department directly responsible for Benghazi, is going to receive the National Defense University Foundation’ American Patriot Award..  Read on at your own discretion.

[H/T Breitbart]: Hillary Clinton is set receive the National Defense University Foundation’ American Patriot Award.

Hillary ClintonAccording to the Washington Examiner, the award ceremony features five co-chairs: “Madeleine Albright, who served as Secretary of State under Bill Clinton; former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, who spent two years as Clinton’s White House chief of staff; …Vernon Jordan, who became a household name when he attempted to cover up the Monica Lewinsky scandal by getting the then-White House intern a job; [and] former Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman and George W. Bush’s former Secretary of State Colin Powell.”

Ironically, Clinton receives the award on November 14, which is around the time 60 Minutes is running a special detailing its attempts to “get to the truth about what happened in Benghazi.”

25 Statistics That Prove America’s Middle Class is Being Systematically Wiped Out

[H/T End of the American Dream]: The 25 statistics that you are about to read are solid proof that the middle class in America is being systematically wiped out.  Once upon a time, the United States had the largest and most prosperous middle class in the history of the world.  It seemed like almost everyone owned a home, had a couple of nice vehicles and could provide a very comfortable lifestyle for their families.  Sadly, that has all changed.  In America today, prices are rising at a very brisk pace but incomes are not.  There aren’t nearly enough jobs for everyone anymore, and most of the jobs that are being “created” are jobs that pay very little.  The largest employer in America is Wal-Mart, and the second largest employer is actually a temp agency (Kelly Services).  In a desperate attempt to make ends meet, millions of American families endlessly pile up more debt, and millions of other American families find themselves forced to turn to the government for help.  At this point, more than 49 percent of all Americans receive benefits from the federal government each month.  The percentage of Americans that cannot financially take care of themselves is rising every single year, and our independence is being whittled away as we become increasingly dependent on the government.  Unfortunately, our politAmerica's Middle Class Wiped Outicians continue to stand aside and do nothing as our jobs are shipped overseas, inflation steals our purchasing power and the middle class continues to shrink.  The following are 25 stats that prove that the American Dream is being systematically destroyed…

1. According to the most recent numbers from the U.S. Census Bureau, 49.2 percent of all Americans are receiving benefits from at least one government program.

2. The U.S. government has spent an astounding 3.7 trillion dollars on welfare programs over the past five years.

3. An increasing number of employers are encouraging their low wage employees to supplement their wages by going on government welfare programs.  For example, McDonald’s workers that need help making ends meet are being instructed to go on food stamps

McDonald’s workers who are unable to pay their bills or stay above the poverty line should find help from food pantries or enlist in government benefit programs instead of seeking higher wages, according to a company resource line meant to help employees.

Nancy Salgado has worked for the fast-food corporation for over 10 years yet still earns $8.25 an hour, barely more than the $7.25 federal minimum wage. With help from the worker’s rights group Low Pay Is Not Ok, she phoned the company’s employee hotline, known as McResource, attempting to find some answers on how to improve her situation.

A recording of the call was made available to CNN, which reported that Salgado asked the helpline operator multiple questions regarding how McDonalds would help her pay her heating bill, buy groceries, and whether she could afford to help pay for her sister’s medical treatment.

Despite never asking how much money Salgado earned per hour or asking how many hours a week she worked, the McDonalds representative said she “definitely should be able to qualify for both food stamps and heating assistance.”

4. Total consumer credit has risen by a whopping 22 percent over the past three years.

5. Student loans are up by an astounding 61 percent over the past three years.

6. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, median household income in the United States has fallen for five years in a row.

7. Right now the middle class is taking home a smaller share of the overall income pie than has ever been recorded before.

8. Ordinary Americans are being priced out of the housing market.  Today, nearly half of all home purchases are all-cash deals.

9. The homeownership rate in the United States is now at the lowest level it has been in nearly 18 years.

10. The gap between the rich and the poor in the United States is at an all-time record high.
