TheBlaze: A retired military veteran called in during Ed Schultz’s radio program on Thursday to respectfully disagree with the host’s claim that Republicans are an enemy to the nation’s vets. Rather than having a reasonable debate, Schultz screamed at the caller, “Russell,” and called his point of view an “idiot argument.”
“I just called to disagree with you about Democrats caring about veterans. I’m a retired veteran with 23 years of service and I don’t know if you know it, but 1 October, 171,000 of us were kicked off our health care. And those ‘evil Republicans,’ as you like to call them, passed a bill in June and it’s been sitting in the Senate and Reid won’t bring it up,” the 23-year veteran began.
“First of all, you have, uh, your facts wrong,” Schultz responded, changing the subject and hollering over the caller when he tried to respond. “I’m not going to freaking argue with you, Russell. You’re full of crap, okay? You’re full of it. The government shutdown hurt the veterans. Is that wrong or right?”
“It hasn’t hurt us yet,” Russell said.
Schultz then vowed to “break your idiot argument down piece by piece!”
The caller again reiterated that he is one of the 171,000 retired veterans who lost their benefits, a move that was supposedly intended to “reduce the cost of providing health care to military retirees.” The Democrats refuse to consider the Republican’s proposal to address the problem, he said. The vet also said he didn’t retire from the military for Obamacare.
“You have your facts wrong,” Schultz repeated, without actually explaining what facts were wrong. “You know what, you need a right-wing talker.”
“You can pin blame on whatever bill you want to pin blame on. The devil is in the details. The buck stops with the dollar. Who shut the government down? The Republicans. The Republicans,” Schultz continued. “Who’s hanging in the balance right now? That Vietnam veteran with his legs lost, in a wheelchair, his only hope is to get a VA check. Who cut that off? And you’re telling me that you’re worried about health care when you’ve got a situation like that?”
Schultz did not mention that the GOP passed appropriations bills to restore all funding to the VA during the shutdown, but it was rejected by the Democrats.
Then the host just got downright ugly.
“Hey, sir,” Russell responded respectfully.
“Sir? Don’t sir me! I’m no a ‘sir’ to you the way you talk to me!” Schultz screamed.
A few minutes later, he hung up on the military veteran because he didn’t want to “deal” with him.
“Veterans, I don’t know who got in between their ears to make them think that the Republicans are their best friend. It drives me nuts. It drives me nuts. I admit it,” he concluded.
It is now being reported that Syrian Christians are aligning with al Assad’s Syrian Army.
Yet one more indicator that the Terrorist-in-Chief Barack Hussein Obama, is aiding and abetting the enemy.
Catholic Online: Syrian Christians are starting to align with the regime of Bashar al Assad as extremist rebels form an increasing number of the anti-regime fighters. Worried about their churches and homes, Christians are organizing into volunteer units and fighting alongside the regular Syrian army. There is a sense of stalemate and a need for negotiation to end the conflict.
LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) – France 24 carried the story late last week of “John” a Christian fighting in Assad’s forces. John was interviewed by the agency who wanted to know why Christians, originally neutral in the conflict, have started to gravitate towards the Assad regime.
Christians are a major minority in Syria making about 5 percent of the population. A few have sided with the rebels, however the majority have tried to remain neutral, worried that an unfavorable outcome could bring post-war repercussions.
While Christians may not be major supporters of the Assad regime, they distrust the jihadists whose publicly stated goal is to turn Syria into an Islamic state with conversion to Islam made compulsory.
To accomplish their mission, jihadist fighters have targeted clergy, ransacked churches and shrines, and killed some Christians in their efforts to terrorize Christian enclaves into submission. The Free Syrian Army, that arm of the rebels recognized by the United States and its allies does not endorse the tactics of the jihadists, and has on some occasions actually clashed with them. However, the Syrian uprising is hugely dependent on the influx of al Qaeda-linked fighters and cannot continue without them.
Consider it anecdotal evidence which bolsters the claims that the rebels mishandled chemical weapons on August 20th. Watch what happens when praising Allah at the :20 mark in this clip as the jihadist (3rd from the left) attempts to put out a cigarette in a mound of gunpowder:

During the 2009-2010 Obamacare debate, we had the Cornhusker kickback, in which Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson (D) accepted a deal that included $100 Million extra Medicaid money for his state, in exchange for his vote. Then Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) accepted a similar, yet more lucrative deal of $400 Million for her vote; it was dubbed the “Louisiana Purchase”. Over on the House side, a supposed “pro-life” Democrat named Bart Stupak from Michigan and his coalition gave away their votes and principles for a meaningless Executive Order.
Now, more than three years after the passage of Obamacare, Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has just won the “Kentucky Dirty”. In a deal between McConnell and Senate Majority leader Harry Reid (D-NV) to re-open the government and end the fight to defund or delay Obamacare, McConnell won a $3 Billion earmark for a project in his state.
Language in a draft of the McConnell-Reid deal (see page 13, section 123) provided to WFPL News shows a provision that increases funding for the massive Olmsted Dam Lock in Paducah, Ky., from $775 million to nearly $2.9 billion.
The dam is considered an important project for the state and region in regards to water traffic along the Ohio River.
As The Courier-Journal’s James Bruggers reported in 2011, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said they needed about $2.1 billion for the locks due to “stop and go funding.”
Asked about the additional funding in the proposal, McConnell spokesman Robert Steurer directed all questions to lawmakers who worked on the bill directly. {emphasis ours}

WASHINGTON (INTELLIHUB) — This week during the budget debate in congress, the house stenographer got on the microphone and started speaking about freemasons founding America and the government “mocking god”.
In most of the videos to appear online the audio comes after the video, and it seems that many versions of this video have been removed from youtube.
“He [God] will not be mocked,” the stenographer, can be heard saying while being drug away from security. “The greatest deception here is that this is not one nation under God. It never was. It would not have been. The Constitution would not have been written by Freemasons. They go against God. You cannot serve two masters. Praise be to God. Praise be to Jesus.”
It is interesting to watch the discomfort and outrage when such taboo topics were brought up on the house floor, and it was not surprising that she was treated as harshly as she was. Many might be surprised that they didn’t use a Taser on her.
TheBlaze reported: The U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday night passed a bill to reopen the government and avoid a potential national default, bringing a certain end to the 16-day partial government shutdown.
Passage of the bill late Wednesday in the House and Senate ended a Washington-created crisis that closed much of government for 16 days. It came on the eve of the date the Treasury Department warned it would no longer be able to borrow to pay the government’s bills.
The legislation was carried to passage in the House by strong support from Democrats and 87 yes votes from majority Republicans who had originally sought to use the measure to derail Obama’s three-year-old health care law. The final vote was 285-144 in favor.
The legislation will reopen the government through Jan. 15 and permit Treasury to borrow normally through Feb. 7.
