That’s right, you read that right. The POS Ft. Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan has been paid $278,000 in salary while soldiers he wounded and families of his dead victims are being denied Army benefits because the incident was classified as “workplace violence” rather than combat related. Talk about a disgusting waste of your tax dollars. His wages should be garnished and sent to the Red Cross!
“The Department of Defense confirms to NBC 5 Investigates that accused Fort Hood shooter Major Nidal Hasan has now been paid more than $278,000 since the Nov. 5, 2009 shooting that left 13 dead 32 injured. The Army said under the Military Code of Justice, Hasan’s salary cannot be suspended unless he is proven guilty.
If Hasan had been a civilian defense department employee, NBC 5 Investigates has learned, the Army could have suspended his pay after just seven days.
Personnel rules for most civilian government workers allow for “indefinite suspensions” in cases “when the agency has reasonable cause to believe that the employee has committed a crime for which a sentence of imprisonment may be imposed.”

Ft. Hood Shooter Paid More than $275k While in Prison …

Major Nidal Malik Hasan has been paid more than $275000 while in prison awaiting trial for the 2009 Fort Hood shooting.
“Legislation that would award the injured from the 2009 Fort Hood shooting the Purple Heart would adversely affect the trial of Maj. Nidal Hasan by labeling the attack terrorism, according to a Defense Department document obtained by Fox News.
The document comes following calls from survivors and their families for the military honor, because they say Fort Hood was turned into a battlefield when Hasan opened fire during the November 2009 attack. Fox News is told that the DOD “position paper” is being circulated specifically in response to the proposed legislation.
The document reads in part:
“Passage of this legislation could directly and indirectly influence potential court-martial panel members, witnesses, or the chain of command, all of whom exercise a critical role under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). Defense counsel will argue that Major Hasan cannot receive a fair trial because a branch of government has indirectly declared that Major Hasan is a terrorist — that he is criminally culpable.”
A source with knowledge of the position paper told Fox News that DOD is putting on a full-court press by sending senior officials, including generals, to meet with lawmakers in an effort to block support.”
This is an outrage to the highest degree, but certainly not atypical of how our government works, specifically how Obama is spreading his anti-American values. Of course, this is all part of Obama’s plan: minimize the military as much as possible. It goes hand in hand with “watering down” terrorist attack. I don’t know about you, but this makes me steaming mad. How about you? This incident should have been classified as a terrorism act right from the get-go.
